Michel serves as President and CEO and is also a member of Armstrong Flooring's Board of Directors. He joined the company in September 2019. Michel is a longtime executive in the flooring industry and brings extensive financial, domestic and international operations and strategic expertise to Armstrong Flooring. Prior to joining the company, Michel served as President, Residential Carpet at Mohawk Industries, where he led market strategy, product development, manufacturing and innovation of the residential carpet business in North America. He has also served in leadership roles across the company's finance, sales and marketing, and business development operations, including President, Mohawk Group, and Chief Financial Officer of Mohawk Industries' North American Flooring Unit. At Mohawk Group, he launched the first Certified Living Product in flooring, and the organization was recognized regularly for top product awards. He joined Mohawk Industries in 2002, when the company acquired Dal-Tile. Michel is involved with multiple industry and community non-profits. He holds a bachelor's degree in Management Accounting from the University of Quebec, in Montreal, Canada. He is fluent in French.
Amy serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. She has more than 20 years of financial management, planning and strategic expertise, driving strong business results and leading transformational change. Prior to joining Armstrong Flooring, she served as Vice President, Business Finance and Global Services, at the Chemours Company, Wilmington, DE, where she led all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, planning and analysis for the company. She previously served as the Chief Accounting Officer for Chemours from July 2015 until August 2019 where she led the transformation of the global finance organization. Prior to Chemours, Amy spent 10 years in various finance, business and investor relations roles of increasing responsibility at E. I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, Wilmington, DE, including as Controller for DuPont Performance Chemicals (the business that is now Chemours). In that role, she was a leader in the business's separation from DuPont and was responsible for building and designing the company's initial post-separation finance organization. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and is a CPA. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC, and serves as a board member and member of the Finance, Allocations and Policy Committees for the United Way of Southern Chester County.
Patrick serves as Vice President, Supply Chain. Prior to joining Armstrong in 2020, he served as Director, Supply Chain Consulting for Ark Transportation, Ltd. and served for 10 years in various leadership roles with Tarkett North America, including Logistics Director, North America. Patrick also has 11 years of experience in automotive material planning and logistics and 3PL operations supporting manufacturing and multiple final assembly plants for Ford Motor Company. He holds a bachelor's degree in Transportation Management from The Ohio State University, in Columbus, Ohio, and MBA coursework from Cleveland State University. He also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Master Certificate from the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio.
John serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer. He joined Armstrong World Industries in 1998 and has held various leadership roles throughout his Armstrong career. After beginning as Plant Human Resources Manager, he progressed to General Manager of Human Resources of Armstrong Flooring Products; General Manager of Human Resources of Armstrong Wood Products; Vice President of Human Resources, Armstrong Flooring Products; Vice President of Human Resources, Global Operating & Supply Chain of Armstrong Corporate; General Manager, Hardwood Manufacturing of Armstrong Flooring Products; and Vice President, Human Relations for Armstrong Flooring Products. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine, in Orono, Maine.
Denise serves as Vice President, Manufacturing. She joined Armstrong World Industries in 1983 and has held various roles throughout her time with the organization, starting her Industrial Engineering career at the Lancaster Floor Plant. Denise’s career progressed to include process improvement, new product development and plant manager roles, including overseeing operations at plant locations with more than 500 employees. Most recently, Denise served as Vice President, Customer Service. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Science from Pennsylvania State University, in State College, Pennsylvania.
Scott serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer. Prior to joining Armstrong in 2015, he served as Managing Director with Huron Consulting Group, where he led the IT Strategy and Management practice. Scott has over 20 years of experience as a management consultant, providing strategy, operations and technology solutions to commercial, healthcare, government and higher education clients. He began his consulting career at Arthur Andersen and later served as Partner for Grant Thornton and as a Managing Director with SMART Business Advisory & Consulting. He holds a bachelor's degree from the Pennsylvania State University, in State College, Pennsylvania, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Chris serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer. He joined Armstrong World Industries in October 2011, serving as Vice President, Corporate Governance, until June 2014, at which time he was appointed Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Secretary. Chris came to Armstrong from Toll Brothers, Inc., a luxury home builder. Prior to Toll Brothers, he provided similar public company corporate governance, commercial and transactional legal support at Orthovita, Inc. (now Stryker), an orthobiologics medical device manufacturer, and IKON Office Solutions, Inc. (now RICOH Americas), an office equipment distributor and services provider. Chris began his legal career at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor’s degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in Wilmington, Delaware.
Dave serves as Senior Vice President, Product and Innovation. He re-joined Armstrong Flooring in December 2019 after he began and spent nearly 20 years of his career at Armstrong World Industries, serving in various senior sales and marketing roles. He was the first winner of the Commercial President's Award in Armstrong’s history. Dave is a longtime product expert in the flooring industry and brings with him extensive experience from many of the industry’s leading manufacturers. Dave most recently served as Senior Vice President, Commercial Hard Surface for Mohawk Industries and has a track record of growing award-winning and very profitable resilient businesses at Mohawk Industries, Shaw and Mannington. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida State University, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Sonya serves as Vice President, Business Transformation. She began her Armstrong career in plant accounting and rose through the ranks where she held several senior leadership positions as she transitioned from finance to the areas of information technology, customer service, and pricing. Sonya most recently served as Vice President, Enterprise Solutions where she intuitively saw the threads of opportunities throughout the organization, and brought together strategy, people, process and technology to find solutions that enable innovation and our ability to compete in the market. Prior to Armstrong, Sonya worked for Johnson & Johnson/Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals Co. as Senior Operations Accountant and ACTS, Inc. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, PA, and an MBA from Gwynedd Mercy College, Gwynedd Valley, PA.
