Temple University Hospital, Delivering World-Class Care Hospital chooses Restore™ heterogeneous sheet for acoustic and ergonomic benefits
Located in North Philadelphia, Temple University Hospital serves a wideranging community as an academic medical center and is the chief clinical training site for the Temple University School of Medicine. Its history dates back to 1892 when it originally operated as the Samaritan Hospital, outfitted with 20 beds and two full-time staff members. Today, Temple University Hospital hosts over 700 beds and offers wide-ranging specialties, including its Cancer Center, Surgery Center, and Labor and Delivery.
To help maintain its status as a world-class and state-of-the-art academic hospital, Temple University Hospital recently renovated its Labor and Delivery wing and turned to Rejuvenations Restore to meet quality, safety and performance expectations. Restore was installed in patient rooms and corridors, as well as the waiting and reception areas.
Rejuvenations Restore is a polish-optional, low-maintenance heterogeneous sheet product that offers the perfect balance of performance and comfort underfoot. Designed with healthcare spaces like Temple University Hospital in mind, Rejuvenations Restore is constructed with a comfort base layer to help reduce foot and leg fatigue and joint impact for healthcare professionals who spend long shifts on their feet. Restore also helps control sound transmission and surface-generated noise to support a soothing environment.
Temple University Hospital’s nursing staff immediately noticed that Restore™ was easier on the legs and feet, and that sound was dampened as well — the adjacent surgical suite is noticeably louder. Beyond the performance of the floor, wood-look visuals bring a biophilic element to a space that can be chaotic and stressful, adding a much-needed sense of calm.
“Rejuvenations Restore really gives our unit a more updated, modern look that the patients deserve,” said Jamie Romanowicz, Department Manager. “We’re so happy with this product and are thankful for everyone that was involved in this important project.”
